Aleksandr Kulikov (b. 1988, Furmanov, Russia) has photographed on film for more than half his life and can no longer imagine working any other way.

He works exclusively with analog processes — from 35mm to 12×20″ ULF, classical to alternative printing, even mixing his own developers — and scans only because we live in a digital age. After a decade as a working photographer in Moscow, he emigrated to Buenos Aires in 2022, became an Argentine citizen, and now runs a small film lab and pursues personal analog projects.

He runs AK88 Photolab, a small analog film lab in Buenos Aires — a separate practice from the work shown here.
